Welcome

I became a principal in 2019, and a year later the pandemic changed everything. Rather than wait for a return to "normal," I took it as a chance to rethink what school could be. Now, writing as a retired educator with 31 years behind me  — I bring that full arc of experience to this space: the perspective of someone who has taught the lessons, led the buildings, and lived through the hardest transitions our profession has faced.

 

As we emerge from those years of disruption, we find ourselves at the start of a new era in education. The lessons we learned reshaped how we think about teaching and learning. Now it's time to embrace a fresh approach — one that honors those insights and focuses on engaging learners in innovative, effective, and humane ways.

This is a place for the people who carry schools on their shoulders — principals, assistant principals, and teachers alike. My aim is to support you through this transition and help you thrive as an educator in the landscape we're all still navigating.
