Hello
My name is Debbie Diaz-Arnold. I am proud to share that I have been an educator for 31 years. I was a special educator for 16 of those years and have spent the last 15 years supporting student learning, nurturing the home-school connection, engaging teachers in the teaching learning cycle, and collaborating with administrators to build agency in their buildings.  As a recent retiree, I am reinventing ways to continue to provide supports to all stakeholders. I have always been a content curator. I have a passion for finding approaches to engage our students in their learning or giving families tips on how to navigate the school system. Collaborating with fellow educators in igniting the passion for teaching and learning is a focus of my work. My principalship began in July of 2019. Building those new relationships was the most important task when I began-then our world turned upside down. I will share stories that demonstrate the resilience of educators through-out this time and lessons I learned about the importance of listening, caring, and action. As this is a work in progress, I welcome feedback and your stories. I would like for this platform to be interactive and a positive experience for all those who join me in reflection and lessons learned for the continued transformation of how we view teaching and learning.
