So, I've been diving into the AI world lately, and it's been quite the eye-opener. I spent the past week checking out various AI tools made especially for us in education. Guess what I found? Many of these platforms are generous enough to give us a sneak peek with free trials. That means we can kick the tires before making any commitments.
Today, I want to chat about something cool – ChatGPT and how we can use it to create awesome content.
ChatGPT: Your New AI BFF
Now, ChatGPT is a bit of a wizard when it comes to AI. But to get the most out of it, we need to know how to ask the right questions – we call them prompts. Don't worry; it's not rocket science. Just play around with different prompts and see what clicks for your unique teaching goals. Let's get creative and make the most of ChatGPT! 🚀
How You Set It Up: So, when you're dealing with ChatGPT, think of prompts as the questions or instructions you submit. You don't have to be all technical; just type in whatever you need in plain language.
Versatility Galore: You can use them for loads of things like asking questions, getting explanations, writing suggestions, or even having some creative fun.
Make It Yours: The cool part? You can totally customize your prompts. Change the words, tweak the structure – it's like a DIY project for getting the info you want.
Context Matters: ChatGPT pays attention to what you tell it. If you're having a chat and want to bring up something you talked about before, just mention it in your prompt. It's pretty good at keeping up.
Try, Try Again: Don't be shy to experiment with different prompts. You could ask ChatGPT to explain tricky stuff, sum up long texts, or just get creative. The more you play around, the better the results.
Short and Sweet: Keep your prompts clear and short. Sometimes, a simple question works better than a big, complicated one. Break it down if you need to.
Tweak as You Go: If ChatGPT's reply doesn't hit the mark, don't stress. You can give it a nudge with follow-up prompts or make your first one more specific to get the answers you're after.
So, prompts are your chat buddies with ChatGPT. How you talk to it really affects what you get back. And speaking of cool stuff, check out Shake-Up Learning-Kasey Bell and her collection of ready-to-go prompts. She's got this awesome webinar on the topic for just $7.
