In last week, I suggested how AI has the possibilities to reform education. This week and for the next several weeks, I will be highlighting different AI tools and provide examples of how they can support teachers, save time, and provide a plethora of ideas to keep a class engaged, support learning, and build an environment where students are having actual academic discourse. This link opens a document that I created in less than 10 minutes. I used Eduaide.ai (https://www.eduaide.ai/), the Virginia Standards of Learning for Science, Kindergarten, Scientific and Engineering Practices, and Google Bard
K.1 a-The student will demonstrate an understanding of scientific and engineering practices asking questions and defining problems
ask questions based on observation
identify a problem based on need
make predictions based on observationsK.1a
Without having to review the document, it contains a unit plan, a lesson plan, assessment questions, a rubric on how to determine of a student has a solid foundation of the concept, engaging learning activities to support learning,
This is a great resource that you, as an educator, can use as a springboard for your collaborative planning time with your team. Your grade level team could create your unit plans for the quarter and than as a team, adjust, add, and create a working/living plan for how you can teach the content.
Take some time to review Season 2 Episode 16 of the "The Hitchhiker's Guide for Educators Teacher Goals Tech Talk." The interview with Thomas Thompson from Eduaide.AI explores the artificial intelligence platform to help you streamline your content creation with AI!
